The Bristol Sports Hall of Fame (BSHOF) recently held its three-times a year
Robert Fiondella Leadership Council Breakfast
at Nuchie’s, a gathering of junior class athletes who are leaders-to-be with
respect to the sports they play at
their schools,
Bristol Central, Bristol Eastern and St. Paul.
This particular breakfast, hosted by Bristol attorney Mark Ziogas, a BSHOF
director, asked the separate
tables of athletes to develop a picture of what would be a perfect team
captain. I sat at table 5 in representing
the Hall of Fame and worked with Steven Chamberland and Xavier Wade of
Eastern, Kyle Seaver, Jessica Martin
and Nick Cyr of Central, and Chelsea Mone and Jordyn Rombola of St. Paul,
who acted as the artist for our table.
Among the attributes this table had drawn on Jordyn’s rendition of a sports
captain came from words such as good
eyesight, good hands, good speaker, good listener, being fleet-footed and
steady on one’s feet, having brains, being
Superman-like, showing leadership abilities, heart and being brave.
