TRACK/FIELD: 4-time All-Conference; 3-time All State; 1-time All-New England; 3 years undefeated in dual meet competition (Discus); Track Captain 1992 & 1993 season. 1991 – State open 6th place finish (Discus); 1992 – Broke Bill Benecick’s 29 year old discus record – 149 ft. 5 in.; won boys “Best in Field’ Award in Greater Bristol Track Meet; New England Track Meet 10th place discus. 1993 – broke father’s 27 year old Central High School Shot Put record – 52 ft. 3 in; first Central athlete to win a state open championship in discus – 161 ft.; first Central athlete to win 2 CIAC Class MM State Championship in 1 year shot put 51 ft. 8 in. and discus 159 ft. Currently holds Bristol Central’s shot put and discus record, shot put 52 ft. 3 in, and discus 161 ft. CCC South discus record 160 ft. 11 in; CCC South shot put record, 50 ft. 4 in; Class MM State discus record 159 ft.; First Central athlete to medal in New England track meet in two events 2nd place shot put, 5th place discus; Qualified for Golden West track meet California; won gold medals in shot put and discus in the Nutmeg State games; ranked #1 in the State in discus and #3 in shot put; noted as one of the top ten athletes in Bristol Central’s School Sports History.
