| Scholar Athlete
Ceremony The BSHF's 4th annual Scholar/Athlete Ceremony will take place at Nuchie's Restaurant, Forestville, on Tuesday, May 28, 2002, starting at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are limited and are $30 each. They can be obtained by contacting Dave Greenleaf at Davidgreenleaf@hotmail.com . This year's role model honorees are Jack Lautier or the Bristol Press (Media Award), Gerry and Carol Carpenter (Joe McGinn Award) and Ken Ferris (Educator of the Year Award). Presenting these awards will be Bristol Press Publisher William Sheedy, Assistant Superintendent of Bristol Schools Michael Wasta and retired Bristol educator/coach Bob Fallon. Student/Athletes from Bristol's three High Schools will be honored, those with a minimum of three varisty letters and an 88 weighted average. The names of these students and further details of the event will appear in the Bristol Press later this month. For a full narative click on >>Scholar/Athlete.<< Hershey Track & Field Event Every grammar school kid in public or perocial school has the opportunity to compete in various track and field events against all other schools in the state with winners going on to the nationals in Hershey, PA. |
The event will be held on three different days
at two different locations. May 13 & 20th at Eastern
High School and May 15th ar Bristol Centra High School.
