YOU WERE ON None STATISTICS None TELL US MORE At least two times, personal vacations were cancelled because the team was involved in a tournament and Harrys commitment was to the team. In the spring, prior to his death in 1997, Harry volunteered as scorekeeper and statistician for the Bristol Eastern Girls JV Softball team. The last game he attended was the day before he passed away. Although Harry was not a player on a sports team, sports in general played an important part in his life. From encouraging and always being there for his own children during little league and softball games to supporting other children and teens in their athletic endeavors, to attending major league games, Harry loved sports at any level. Thank you for considering Harry for induction to the Bristol Sports Hall of Fame. We area very proud of him. Accompanied both American Legion and Little League teams to New Hampshire, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, etc. to broadcast championship games back to Bristol. Referred to as The Voice of American Legion. When he wasnt announcing a game, he would keep score or act as the P.A. Announcer at Muzzy Field. SCHOLARSHIP/ACADEMICS None. MEDIA WBIS 1967-1984. Announced American Legion Baseball games and Little League Baseball Games. |
