Thank you for considering me for the Bristol Sports Hall of Fame. It is truly an honor to be asked to complete the nomination application. As a life long Bristol resident, it has been my privilege to have played with and been coached by some very talented people who have helped shaped my life. Reflecting back on my days at BEHS has reminded me of many great achievements that I am proud of. I earned ten varsity letters; 2 in softball, 2 in track, 3 in basketball and 3 in volleyball. I was captain my junior and senior years in volleyball and my senior year in basketball. The highlight of my high school career was the two state championship games I played in – a win in basketball my junior year and a loss my senior year in volleyball. After high school, I attended the University of New Haven on a basketball scholarship. I was thrilled to continue playing my favorite sport and was also able to be a varsity starter on the softball and tennis teams. To have had the success that I did (National Championship in basketball and be named co-captain my senior year along with having an MVP season in softball) was a blessing that many people do not get to experience.
