In 1942 I came to Conn. in Mrs. Franklin Roosevelt program National Youth Assoc. I was placed in New Departure where I worked for 32 ½ years retired in 1971. We had a big family 6 boys and 6 girls. 4 of my brothers served in World War II all came home. 1 injured at Anzio Beach head. They wouldnt take me because of my blind left eye so I served in N.D. I stayed here after the war and started shooting in 1951. I shot over 90,000 singles, 60,000 handicap and 30,000 doubles registered targets under the A.T.A. I served every office in the CT. trapshooting; 6 years as President. The State of Ct. has been good to me. The City of Bristol has been extra good to me. I have been here 63 years and loved every minute of it. I hope I have been good for Bristol. I pay my taxes on time and I never spent a night in anyones jail. |
