Beginning 45th year as coach in the Diocese of Bridgeport; 6 years as head baseball coach at Notre Dame High School (Fairfield), and starting his 39th years as head basketball coach at St. Joseph High School.  Known as Connecticut’s Winn ingest high school basketball coach.  Has coached in 917 career games with a record of 673/244.  Team has won 8 state championships and finished as runner-up on 6 other occasions.  Team won both the All-Connecticut Conference regular season championship and the All-Connecticut Conference Post season Tournament for 6 straight years.  Team won the F.C.I.A.C. Championship in 2000.

Served on the ’96 National High School Coaches Convention Basketball Committee.  Inducted into the Conn. High School Coaches “Hall of Fame”, Nov. 16, 1995.  Voted Connecticut Coach of Year 1996-97 by Eastern Basketball Magazine.  Selected to receive a “Gold Key Award for 1998 by the Connecticut Sports Writer’s Alliance.  Has served on McDonald All-American Game selection committee from 1991 to present.  Selected as one of the local “Hero’s of the 20th Century in ’99 by the New Haven Register.
