Oliver "Ollie" E. Sr. 93, of 186 Peck Lane, husband of Blanche (Daviau) Gaudreau, died Monday, April 7, 1997, at Sheriden Woods Health Care Center, Bristol. Born in Bristol, Sept 23, 1903, he was a son of the late Medric and Jennie (Hamlelin) Gaudreau. He had been a life-long Bristol resident. Prior to retirement in 1967, he was employed at the former New Departure-Hyatt, division of General Motors, Bristol for 47 years. Mr. Gaudreau was a member of the Bristol Boys Club for the past 82 years and was very actively involved in the club. He was the oldest member of the Older Members Association of the Bristol Boys Club; and was the first recipient of the Bristol Boys and Girls Club's Lifetime Service Award, which was subsequently named after him. |
